The Girl with the red lipstick has an intriguing blurb which is the probable reason I picked up this book. Besides, I wanted to read the subject the book talks on.

The story centers on the theme of prostitution and LGBT romance. These two subjects have been combined to write a story of a girl who ends up in this business and finds a female friend with whom later she fell in love with.

Even though the book includes things which could be found in books with a similar issue, of course, the mix of prostitution and LGBT romance is rare. The author was able to put in the correct emotions of the women who are forced into this business, which was quite disturbing to read on.

The narration was smooth and realistic, but something was amiss, maybe the abrupt switch to the next scene or too short descriptions somewhere or choice of words which I felt was unformed. The inclusion of matured writing, good vocabulary or some more detailed descriptions could have made it laudable.

Well, it is recommended if you’re looking for a short read concerning this topic and genre. Overall, it was a nice read.
